However, I do believe that the rapid growth of Bitcoin and other decentralized cryptocurrencies demonstrates a growing societal interest in financial freedom from traditional banking institutions.

Nonetheless, as long as we have increasing surveillance over people's spending habits with certain centralized payment methods, cash will remain an important option for privacy-oriented individuals.
