First thoughts on Pikmin 4: if you like the first three, you’ll like it. And you have a dog, too.

It’s (so far) continuing the trend of fewer enormous boss fights, which is a big yay for me.

They’ve put in some skill tree / side quest type stuff, not sure yet how well it will plan out.

There’s a rip-off game called Tinykin (which is excellent), which I’ve described before as “Pikmin but with no fights and in a house”. The intro section makes this even more the case, but the main game is a bit more classic Pikmin.

I’m really not sure how that species ever managed to develop space flight.
