I was starting to like it and always thought the web first approach was smart. That's actually what attracted me to it. Frankly, I treated it like beta software but wanted to use it and help grow it in my own way. I am confused as to why having a different team wouldn't be the first option, assuming it wasn't.

I dunno, I just see they are closing shop and I’m curious if this is the end or if someone takes over (I hope they do).
It looked like it was a full shutdown situation. That's the most confusing part for me. I suppose funding could be an issue but would like to know for sure why it isn't being taken over if that is the case.
That’s my guess is as well - good ol out of funds. Maybe there’s no desire to fund this project.
I think it's more the juice not being worth the squeeze. afaik the company Mutiny will still be around but they are shuttering the wallet to focus on other projects. the Mutiny Wallet is OSS and can be forked at any time. it's also easily self hostable and can be hooked up with an LSP like Zeus' Olympus to get much of the functionality it has.
