Yes, I am still wearing a wool coat in this sunny weather…

Got any tips for a first time father-to-be?

Our little guy should be here in less than two months 🙌 ❤️

Amazing, congratulations on your little blessing. I feel like I’m still figuring it all out. I would say it’s worth a research into homebirth and co-sleeping. We have co-slept since birth and get a great nights sleep (common in the east, often frowned on in the west). Our homebirth was fantastic and a really peaceful/beautiful experience. A lactation consultant or some experienced support for mama if she plans to breastfeed. It can be quite hard at first and extra support for this was a blessing.

I would also say don’t be pressured into having visitors too soon. Spend time to bond with the baby and get settled into your new role. If you can outsource a meal drop service & a non-invasive cleaning service for a few weeks postpartum that really helps. (I bulk cooked and froze meals beforehand).

This all worked for my family, but every family is different. It’s a lot of trail & error. Enjoy those precious newborn moments and don’t get bullied by the ‘professionals’.
