Dear "wss://freedom-relay.herokuapp.com/ws" you are sending "PING" in text, not as a ping. At least the Java WebSocket

framework is not seeing it as a true ping.

Actually, that's not quite right. You ARE sending the ping correctly, but you are also sending "PING" in a text

packet just before you send the true ping.
