OK, but then in winter it's dark all the time. So the moon-sun symmetrical orbits in the video shift...?
The sun and moon are the same size and very close to us, so as they follow their circular track, different parts of the earth are lit/dark, creating timezones
This is also why when you go way up north, the sun is out nearly 24hrs a day, and never sets in some places
The seasons are caused by the sun/moon track narrowing and widening their path annually - attached a few videos below to explain further!
