just find the databases the software is pulling from and recognize how important they are
much is likely very old "could be crap" that was the only thing they had long ago
databases need to be regularly checked for old/bad data, or even just have new data brought in to "uplevel" the quantity and quality
an example would be fancy expensive apple watch that "does so much fitness everything" but is based on very old pedometer that doesn't even adjust to your specific stride or calculate your accurate health, just uses (german ww2?) old bmi chart
