Politicians are obligated to answer questions from journalists and engage with the people. Devs are not. Mute to your heart’s content 😘
You can mute whoever you want, but know that muting someone carries a cost.
even politicians do not have to. They are free to not answer any questions at all. That would however likely endanger their future in politics.
