Europe is the leading edge of censorship.
Discussion
Europe has a dark history. It would be a mistake to expect the future _not_ be as dark as history is. As long as the same powers are in control as they have for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
I think North Korea beats Europe on that one
North Korea isn't leading the world's censorship adoption
I'd say so, they are way further into the adoption than any other country. Not saying Europe looks good either though just to make that clear 😂
I don't see much difference between north Korea and Europe or the US in reality.
We need to let Russia flex on these bitches.
If you want our money to defend yourself, you better share our fucking values. 👀
Its not good, but China, Russia and a ton oft other countries are way worse.
I live in "China" (HK) precisely because I'm more free here than Europe/commonwealth/US.
I've never been in Hong Kong, but can you still openly criticize the CCP over there? I expect the CCP to crackdown more and more as they get more bold with their actions.
I found this interview with a Chinese think tank VP interesting and, frankly, terrifying:
I'm not being paid by the CIA so yes I can openly criticise the federal government.
