Assuming the eth devs aren't completely incompetent (a big ask), the merge will likely work just fine. Even if it does, it's still destines eth to become an even shittier version of existing systems that we're trying to replace.
I find it hilarious that google has a merge countdown and not a halving countdown. Google engineers must love shitcoining.
