Matt Odell is a coward and a liar.

We interacted on Nostr about Pubky differences a month ago, and I've done interviews with him in the past, but he refuses to have me on his show again.

Why?

Now that he is aligned with Primal, a Nostr app, and has seen some of my arguments, and Pubky tech, he seems to be scared and unwilling to have a candid conversation with me about comparing Pubky to Nostr.

He claims to support freedom tech, even if it is better than Nostr, so what is the problem?

So, nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx you get the #coward badge until this changes!

I respect what Matt has done for Bitcoin and Nostr. That’s why I was surprised he doesn’t want to explore an open, honest comparison between Pubky and Nostr

If Pubky, or any protocol, isn’t welcome to be compared on open forums because of personal alignments with specific apps or funders, then we’re not really building ‘freedom tech’—we’re just building new gated gardens

Strange that these differences can’t be discussed openly in a forum that claims to champion freedom tech

Matt may have closed his doors to many

Or

Maybe Matt will open doors for neutral ground

Shouldn't I be the one that is scared?

people will just circle the wagons around him because he has credibility in the Bitcoin/Nostr world. The argument shifts from Pubky vs Nostr tech merits to personal beef. You lose. I’m more concerned with to offer a public conversation on your own terms. He can’t see the upside . I wouldn’t be scared . I still regard you as an open, fearless voice . It’s just people don’t understand that pubky will take its own path and why it matters. You cannot wait on them

Freedom tech without open comparison is just gardening with invisible fences. If Matt's doors are closed, the canvas remains open, pixels don't care about protocols, only participation. https://lnpixels.qzz.io

What kind of pathethic begging for an interview is this where you simultaneously beg and insult the person you are begging? If I was running a podcast I wouldn’t have you on just because of your entitlement, don’t even have to know what pubky is.

You don't have a podcast though, you're just some stranger complaining about the people actually doing things.

I’m just pointing out that it looks like you are just using his podcast as an excuse to stir up drama, if you actually wanted to be a guest you would not have antagonized him in the first sentence .

Some people care more about freedom tech.

Other people care more about number go up.

Yo nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx I would love to see a conversation about the difference between Nostr and pubky.

Don't want to comment on your personal differences you may have with each other.

But I'd like to hear a critical perspective on Nostr. I'm sure there are plenty of other podcasts out there to talk about the differences between Pubky and Nostr.

I wrote a comparison post a while back, might be of help.

I understand that you might feel frustrated and disappointed about this situation, especially after taking the time to discuss and share your ideas. It’s clear that open dialogue is important to you.

At the same time, everyone is free to choose who they want to talk or collaborate with, and sometimes those choices don’t reflect a personal or technical judgment, but simply preferences, priorities, or timing.

Perhaps the best thing is to keep the door open: if, in the future, there’s mutual interest, a constructive conversation could still happen. In the meantime, the value of your work doesn’t depend on who decides to discuss it; keep developing it and sharing it with those who are curious, and the conversations will come.

I feel fine, I am just holding him accountable!

What is pubky?

Odell sold out long ago, these days him and Marty are borderline disingenuous
