Been seeing an issue with more and more protonmail users not receiving emails due to their own practices / usage of the service.

Suffice to say, if you receive an email to your Protonmail inbox with the subject of "Automated Abuse Detection" you should NOT ignore it!

What’s the best alternative to proton atm?

I thought Tutamail until it wouldnt work with Tor, at least I couldnt get it to work.

The best option may be to encrypt your emails yourself, outside of the system. Setup your own public-private key encryption with your correspondents ? Somewhat painful, but secure.

Thought as much, thanks 🙏

Why are you sending automated abuse emails?

Oh man, was hoping to click and find an answer... I'll come back later

Proton sent details of emails of a user to covict him in an EU court. Proton can pound sand. Actually , Switzerland can pound sand.

Do not to use a recovery email, phone number or IP that is linked to you. This person failed in the simplest way.

> Proton had just one, albeit valuable, piece of information related to that account: an iCloud email address used as a recovery email. From here, Apple provided the Spanish police with all the details to successfully identify the pro-Catalan protester, meaning their full name, two home addresses, and a linked Gmail account.
