He raised my taxes so he could cut taxes for himself and the rest of the rich, but he made sure the increase happened when he was out of office so idiots would blame Biden. His Supreme Court picks overruled student loan relief and cost my wife and I tens of thousands of dollars. His Supreme Court picks' decision to overturn Roe v. Wade combined with her health problems mean when we try for a kid, there's a very real chance it KILLS her for WANTING to have a child. Project 2025 that he supports would remove overtime pay and cost me yet more tens of thousands of dollars. I watched as THOUSANDS of my fellow Americans died ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS DEATHS because he wanted to downplay covid just because it was impacting his political opponents more heavily at first, but his stupid fucking ass couldn't grasp that it'd spread to his followers in time. I watched as the entire world laughed at us and our allies distances themselves for electing such a greedy, self centered, easily manipulated IDIOT.

So he cost me tens of thousands of dollars, threatened the life of my wife and every other woman I know, encouraged disease to ravage the citizens he swore to protect, and destroyed soft power that took us DECADES to cultivate. And I'm sure I could add half a dozen other things if I was willing to think about it for just 30 more seconds.

And btw the COVID lockdowns were stupid and pointless. I and everyone I know still got COVID and lived thru it. You want to go run scared of life go for it. I know I was better off and so was my retirement after four years of Trump than I was after four years of Biden. And Harris is a complete loon whose only political qualification is lack of a gag reflex.

But it doesn’t matter. You’ll look for any reason to justify being a deranged leftist. Mastodon is the platform for you. It’s a solid echo chamber.

Oh and oh Roe v Wade - democrats were warned by Ginsberg the argument could be overturned and for 40 years did NOTHING to pass legislation to ensure it wasn’t. You want to blame someone for that? Look in the mirror you dumb cunt. You voted for that outcome. You voted for pandering crap and no results. That’s what voting blue gets you.

You can argue about the lockdowns if you want, but even if we ignore those, Trump's dumbass still fucked up HARD. Before it even started, he'd slashed budgets for defending against a pandemic, which then promptly happened. Once it did start, he delayed a response because it was hurting blue voters more at first. Discouraged masks. Said it would just go away. Knew it was dangerous but publicly downplayed it. Promoted hydroxychloroquine as a remedy. Suggested INJECTING BLEACH. Demonized researchers that didn't back his stupid ass bullshit. Gave billions in PPP loans but made sure there was no oversight so the rich could plunder it, then forgave a ton of loans. He at least encouraged getting the vaccine, but by that point, he'd spent so much time minimizing the risk and fostering distrust in science, a ton of his followers wouldn't take the damn thing even when he recommended it.

Even if you wanna nitpick individual blunders, you can't argue the fact that the US had more documented deaths than any other country. Given we don't have the highest population, too, and by a wide margin, someone very, very clearly fucked up. And he was in charge, so it was his responsibility to get it right.

I'm glad you managed to get through covid unscathed, but with over a million deaths, not all of us were so fortunate. Some of us watched loved ones die. Some of us watched people who might have lived refuse to go to the hospital in favor of taking fucking horse dewormer. Some of us were filled with anxiety as we watched our oldest, least healthy, most vulnerable loved ones ignore it and gamble with their lives every day because they believed the stupid shit that came out of his mouth, and when they lost their gamble, we got to watch them die. Just because you got away clean doesn't mean it was nothing. Over a million fucking people died, and it could have been THOUSANDS less if Trump had just listened to experts, and then he'd have gotten reelected, but he couldn't stop himself from fucking it up.

As for Roe v. Wade, don't blame us for what you assholes did. Could more protections been put in place? Definitely. Does that excuse the fact that republicans are the ones making women and babies die avoidable deaths by the hundreds in Texas alone? No, it fucking doesn't.
