At first I was a fan...He was eschewing the traditional fancy trappings of his office...But as the years progressed, he has definitely moved away from the traditional teachings of the Church.

While not an outright ban, his restrictions on Traditional Latin Mass and Ad Orientum have shown me his true feelings. I am NOT a Novus Ordo fan by any means, but have found a wonderful parish that not embraces both the old and post-Vatican II teachings and supports those of us who yearn for the traditions of the Church. I not only veil at Mass, I receive the Eucharist on the tongue.

Attending a parish by my parents last week, the priest scowled as I knelt for Communion, and shoved the host in my mouth. Meanwhile, Wednesday morning at my home parish, our pastor used the dish holding the hosts as a paten under my chin, lest any of our Lord's precious body NOT make it into my mouth.

The upcoming Synod may end up causing me and fellow traditionalists to be heretics due to our leanings, but I will stay true to the Bible and continue teaching my sons how to properly venerate and respect the Church.

That's pretty shocking about the eucharistic being disrespected .

Did you see the story our of Brazil with the Archbishop who gave the host to a Sheikh who then pretended to put it in his mouth before walking away? Or the Rubbermaid totes full of host at World Youth Day?

Thankfully , I did not. Speaks to the degradation of the blessed sacrament.

Enjoyed watching that .
