Ok, syncing problem solved 💪

Seems the mini pc i chose to run as the node was too weak (intel core2duo p8700 with 8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz).

Upgraded to another machine (intel i5 4570t, 16gb ddr3 ram 1600mhz).

Way faster now!

I am still curious why the old system only showed 50% cpu and 1gb of ram being used if it struggled that hard with syncing the chain 🤷🏻‍♂️

Btw: i did not have to start the syncing process all over with the new machine. StartOS makes it really easy to use the existing drive in a new device. Just stop all services, shut down, swap ssd into new device, boot from StartOS flash drive, chose reinstall (preserves existing data), follow steps and chose „existing drive“, restart -> start the services and pick back up where you left ✅
