Yea. But a lot of the culture/macro/philosophy stuff I find to be noisy and mainly consume technical content. Which I’ve never gotten strong technical signal from. Probably just my biases. 🤷♂️
Swan not being bitcoin only with their custodian was the first noise. Switched to River which is still KYC but they own their whole tech stack. Which I admire as a technical bitcoiner.
I was a swan customer. I thought about switching to River while they changed custodians but bought from cash app in the mean time. I think I'm just going to stay with cash app now. They have lightning support and when I buy it's instant settled. Which means instant from purchase to lightning self custody. I can't get to self custody faster anywhere else.
That’s a fair point. I think I can do the same with River. I’ve just opted automate it on a schedule. Three times a day. Different dollar amounts. I could see myself having enjoyed Cash App if I went that route first.
As an aside, My local gun dealer was on cash app and he agreed to take some bitcoin from me just to see. They took him to KYC and he spooked. And then I got to tell him about no-KYC bitcoin and lightning and sovereignty. He’s a cash business mind of guy.

Hell yea. As a former swan customer, set it and forget it, auto dca and withdraw are great. But instant cash to self custody is huge benefit for me. And with boltz I swap between layers for privacy. It's all so quick.
