Bitcoin is freedom for when I am ready to take the exit ramp at any given time. Having been a long time Bitcoiner, I do not feel any pressure at all with working at my fiat career. Why? I have purpose in contributing towards something bigger than me. Bitcoin is my retirement plan, my security, my fortress, and my ability to wake up any given morning and say, I can rest on my terms and enjoy life. Satoshi Nakamoto's Proof of Work consensus mechanism has taught me a lot of these years beyond just a protocol.
