It's super easy. Linux Mint cinnamon is currently my daily driver. Install Linux, then download #Knots or #Bitcoin Core. I like Knots because filter out some of the BS.

Then just extract it from the file explorer menu. Go to bin and open bitcoin-qt. Let it synchronize which can take a long time the first time. Then you're done.

While that's synchronizing download Sparrow wallet, and learn how to use it. You will learn a lot. Bam! your done lol..🐧🧡😊

The first Bitcoin client was even easier.
