Yes. It’s insane. We can globally send and receive the most scarce digital commodity in the world, at the speed of light, with nearly zero fees 🤯 Anyone with a mobile device can receive this perfectly engineered money without ID, phone number, or email. It’s accessible to all and controlled by no one. No algorithms (yet), no venture capitalists with their unregistered shitcoin securities, no mega corporations owning your data and your followers, no government or bureaucrats pulling the strings behind the scenes. Just hard money, real people, and pure signal. Where is everyone? Am I crazy? We must be living in a simulation.
I wanted to do this years ago and had a custom Wordpress plugin made for it. The concept made so much sense to me but obviously I didn’t have a way to scale it.
Now it’s just here and fast and usable. I check in to nostr daily just to zap stuff because it’s such a great usecase and so much fun.
Hopefully there are screenshots of our zaps in 10-15 years time which look ridiculously exhorbitant then, like how we look back at the 10,000 BTC pizza today.
