Battle Royale was another one that influenced him. Intense japanese movie
It was real good.
Chiaki Kuriyama was an actress in Battle Royale. Tarantino liked her acting so he cast her in Kill Bill as Gogo Yubari (O Ren’s body guard). He also wanted to cast her in Inglorious Basterds but it didn’t pan out.
She was excellent in it.

Yes. I wish I could remember tittles but I got into Japanese gangster noir a while ago. There were so many good films.
Do you know the director Takashi Miike. His older stuff is full of japanese gangster movies and revenge samurai flicks. Excellent director. A bit psycho (from his movies I mean) 😂
