Here in the U.S. we call those cattle "Brown Swiss" - do you guys call em that too?

Yes, however the Americans have cross bred their Swiss browns to genetically improve milk yield. But they still call it that.
We call it Braunvieh, locally.
We're obsessed with improving everything. I guess we believe God got us off to a good start, but we can do better. 🤣
