5 years ago yesterday, shot at the Hotwalls in #Portsmouth, part of some of the oldest defences in the city. In fact, for several hundred years #Pompey was the most heavily defended city on earth. Just behind me as I shot this is the square tower, laid down in 1588, the Round tower, just ahead of me but out of view, was built a short while later in the 1600s. The area in the picture was a barracks until the early 20th century and is now an area dedicated to artists.
