Listen up, parents: if your kid is under 18 and spends 10 hours a day glued to a screen—or worse, if your solution to a fussy baby is shoving an iPad in front of their face—you’re failing them. Plain and simple.

This isn’t parenting; it’s outsourcing responsibility to a glowing rectangle. You’re raising a generation of iPad zombies and calling it convenience. Stop using screens as pacifiers. Stop letting Fortnite or TikTok babysit your teenager.

Your 16-year-old doesn’t need another kill streak in Call of Duty; they need to go outside, join a team, crack open a book, or pick up a skill that’ll actually matter in the real world. Get them onto a playground, into a coding course, a math program, a sport, or anything that builds their mind and body instead of wasting it away.

It’s not just bad parenting—it’s a disservice to their future. The screen isn’t their friend, and it shouldn’t be yours, either.
