Levi's created jeans with this small pocket for for pocket watches in the late 1800s, commonly known as the "watch pocket"z
But, over time, its function became a bit more decorative and some found it useful for holding “RANDOM” small items... 👀 but I won’t tell what “small items” if you won’t tell 😂
I always thought it was for change.
Over time, as the use of pocket watches declined, people found various other uses for this pocket, such as (in this order):
- coins
- drugs
- paycheck after taxes
I always thought it was for Zippo lighters!
