Ok serious question that probably stems from a little bit of ignorance. An LSP is essentially a third party that manages all of your liquidity on lightning if I understand it right.
even if you are in control of the keys how does somebody else managing your liquidity provide privacy?
Users can disable the LSP and open up their own channels. Even when the LSP is on they still do their own pathfinding so we never know where you’re sending your money.
Ok so since the node is running on the phone it does the path finding. Neat. I still think LSPs are a little sus but it makes more sense now. Thanks.
