Um yeah so maybe it’s a hot take but if they never had it in the first place because it was already taken before it was deposited in their bank account, never really had it, no possibility of having it ever did exist so why even think of it as their income?
Your employer does still spend the money for your labor. So it sort of exists. So you have to create enough of work to cover your wage as well as the tax.
