I blame protestantism for feminism. Without Virgin Mary venerated as Mater Dei, as Mater Misericordae, as well as other Saints and devout women from the caliber of Joan of Arc, Lady Godiva, St Genevieve, etc etc.

Without that, women have not their rightful place anymore, which is something that contributed to the rise of feminism. Protestantism robbed women from their spiritual place and left them as a prey to feminism and other forces of Satan.
