Ugh, I know someone who did almost this exact thing. Wife got scammed and husband is insistent that Bitcoin is a scam now. Doesn't even really understand what happened.
I know. Many people fell for this.
It's also because many people blindly trust this scammer Elon Musk and anything involving his name.. my sister in-law almost gave her creditcard information to some Indian scammers
