Base money + total credit issuance can't be gamed and all eventually register in goods and services, albeit unevenly across the economy, as inflation.

Where do you pull the numbers for this?

Good question.

Expansion of the money supply is pretty straightforward.

Rises in prices aren't inflation.

Baloons "inflate" when they expand, not when they rise.

Sorry, should have worded more carefully. I’m trying to find good data on *actual* price increases in recent years. Specifically because I suspect a lot of the metrics most people use are manipulated.
