Earth has critically low co2 levels today.

Life exploded and flourished at 7,000 ppm co2. Plant life and humans go extinct at 150 ppm. We are a ~hundred ppm away from a mass extinction event.

Burn more coal, light your wooden hearth fire, maximize your co2 output, so that humans may survive and thrive.

Is it also possible that animals producing the CO2 going extinct is causing the drop in CO2 rather than the opposite?

What’s the mechanism for lower CO2 causing an extinction event? Animals do require CO2 in order to absorb oxygen via the Bohr effect [1] so it’s plausible but it would be nice to know the mechanisms.
