Here here, from northeast Ohio.
The Midwest is terribly unkind to vehicles. This was a perfectly functional fuel pump on a GM pickup truck however it developed a pinhole fuel leak due to corrosion where the pressure (output) side of the fuel line connects....it's almost like these were engineered to collect moisture and road salt. Anyhow, pump was replaced and generously coated with a rust inhibitor product called "fluid film" that I have used for years especially on equipment like snow plows. Just be aware it does not fully dry so if you ever have to come in contact with it, you will be wearing it. But it does what it's supposed to..
