to my followers in JP:

what does lightning adoption look like there?

a) do many merchants accept lightning in big cities?

b) is it easy to convert back and forth between JPY and BTC?

what if you needed emergency cash, and needed to sell some btc. is this easy in JP? is it highly liquid?

To be honest, I’ve never seen Lightning adaption in Japan. For exchange, we have a few main exchange company. But tax by government is very high .. 😢

a) 多くははないと思います。

b) BTC と JPY の両替も、口座の開設や手数料などがあって、あまり簡単ではありません。

a) Very few. Maybe no more than 10 houses in Japan.

b) Not easy. Exchanges need KYC. Only on-chain. Not a single exchange handles Lightning. Liquidity of exchange between Yen and BTC itself is reasonable.
