Easiest and fastest, but almost most expensive, how to start on fully self custodial lightning:
1) have a UTXO of at least 1M sats
2) buy a @Start9 or @umbrel
3) watch the @BTCsessions YouTube video titled UMBREL - How To Use Your Bitcoin and Lightning Node (NEW)
4) open a channel to @The Nodestrich ♾️ or @LNServer
5) download @ZEUS on your phones, sync with your node, btcsessions also has content on this.
If you have more money than time, this is how to do it on easy mode.
that's like installing arch from scratch but it cost money. you're insane if you think that counts as an easy mode.

I think it only took me ~ 2 hours including watching the BTCsessions video. So not exactly terrible. Not saying it’s EASY, just the easiest way I know of
