I guess my first question is what do you mean/what elements are you referring to when you say you don't believe it's "literally true?"

Because if you are trying to flat earth your way into the bible, don't bother. If you are talking about the historicity of Jesus and his death and resurrection, now you are talking about a core doctrine.

I don't know where you are going with the flat earth thing. Nothing in the Bible suggests a flat earth. There are several passages about the circle of the earth and being hung on nothing that match reality.

I agree. My point is just that when we are talking about someone questioning the truth of scripture, it's important to first clarify if they are talking about what scripture says is true vs. what someone told them it says.
