No doubt. Every time the snake lady from the ECB says "cash is here to stay", it becomes clearer that they will go after it full tilt with more draconian controls banning more use cases.

But anyhow, the big problem is not the dismissal of physical cash which is inevitable, but absolute governmental control of all bank-mediated movements. Because nowadays it is completely impossible to operate in society for even the most basic things without a bank account.

That's the keystone of the current corporatist regime, the complete surrogation of banks as a branch of government, in exchange for priority access to printed fiat.
