Prolific yacon harvest.

I used it last night to make San Choy Bao, substituting water chestnuts for yacon.

If anyone wants some rhizome to grow it at home, let me know.

All that from just one plant?

No, I planted 6 tiny rhizomes in early spring, harvested in early winter.

(I’m in the southern side)

Perennial Daisies‽

Maybe is from the family, but yacon is not perennial daisy.

Is a plant from South America, used by the Incas. Grows up to 1.5m, with small flowers.

The tubers are slightly sweet, with a pear or water chestnut texture.

Sound very delightful, I am going to have to find some unless you could ship to Canada?

I have a few extra roots and I'm happy to ship as long as you bare the cost. I'm in Australia 😞

I did a quick google search but couldnt find anyone in Canada growing them, maybe check gardening groups or community gardens.

If you really want it let me know!

International shipping can be an issue. I will dig deeper first on my end. Great to learn about more awesome plants

They're Daisy like.

Related to sunchokes.

I would like some in Florida ?

Is that a question? 🤔
