I think zero is pretty close to accurate in terms of career.

When I meet someone for the first time and they ask “So…what do you do?” as their opener: the conversation is already over in my head and I’m looking for the exits. Looking to get back to spending my time with the people I care about most.

I know they’re just trying to be friendly and break the ice but it’s such a bad question because the answer puts the respondent in a box. I enjoy my work but I don’t define my life by it. I don’t identify as my job title: I’m not a podcaster 🤣

I came to the same conclusion. So, instead, I tend to ask: “How do you spend your free time?”

It sparks much more interesting conversations, and makes it easier to relate and connect to people!
