No, the entire premise of Monero is that it’s ASIC resistant. Grin is similar to Monero but does embrace ASICs.

Resistant doesn't mean never though right?

Yes, it's all code, and code can be modified.

Asic resistance helps keep monero more egalitarian and accessible. Chasing ever increasing hash rates just for the sake of high hash rates feels like the same mentality as NGU

To be clear, a higher hash rate is objectively a good thing for security but only if that hash rate is sufficiently decentralized. No warehouse sized asic farms out of china. And the entities that DO have a warehouse full of CPU power likely have much more profitable ways of using that power than mining monero
