We do it unconsciously on twitter. We have been accustomed to look at the bottom panel of every post on all social media platform for CTAs.

Views being non-CTA catches our attention (The Von Restorff effect, also known as The Isolation Effect, predicts that when multiple similar objects are present, the one that differs from the rest is most likely to be remembered.)

For example in Amethyst client on Android, view counter is available. I think same should be made available in Damus

(Jacob's law: Users spend most of their time on other sites. This means that users prefer your site to work the same way as all the other sites they already know.)

We should encourage devs to innovative and experiment with all sorts of stuff not push them to replicate what we already know and have. Get excited and be surprised by upcoming features that will transform how we use social media for the better. 🪄🔮
