I will be proposing the session “Acceptable monetization models in the fediverse” during the #[0] unconference agenda curation in a few hours.

I believe there will need to be a variety of acceptable monetization models in order for the fediverse to be accessible and preferable to the billions of people using walled-garden social media networks today.

In case you guys didn't know, Adam Curry and Dave Jones have famously done a lot of great work around BTC micropayments over social media using Lightning network and may be a great team to collaborate/share with. Adam is credited with inventing podcasting, and their latest "Podcasting 2.0" is all about decentralized ways for the consumers to pay the creators.
