At the end of the stream my YouTube started glitching out, so now you can all enjoy this #[1] “Stay humble, stack sats. Peace!” remix. 🤙

Super excited about this. Love to get your take. Stepan Liveras was pretty good and fair.

Insightful conversation.

To start this on a positive note, I am glad Casey can see a difference between Taiwan and the PRC. We agree on that.

However, I pose the question, if there were no Taiwanese government, what would stop the CCP from dictating to the Taiwanese people?

Casey gave the impression that his motivations for the lines of code were okay but got some definite red flags from his attitude of I hate all government, we should not pay taxes, and previously hoped to create a paid for service to illegally provide copyright protected movies. Our projects tend to reflect who we are, so I see where the connection between his code and shady uses of Ordinals comes from. Hindsight is always 20-20 and maybe him doing nothing would have been better. So, I will take my own advice right now and just wait and see.

Next block.

Listened in some today and heard you used to like to collect sports autographs? Are you a big sports fan and what are your teams? & have you been to an SEC football game yet?

Roll Tide, Mads?

Listened to it.

Casey has Sith Lord vibes in this episode, let’s hope he’s a Jedi.

he is cocky because he did something that is novel and actually very clever and well designed

My sats? I love the fact people are using bitcoin per code without permission period. Ordinals and inscription are less interesting to me right now than the fact Casey didn't need to ask. He built. For the podcast, holy crap man, guiding Casie in conversation is like herding cats in your underwear. Bitcoiner of the month metal to you for taking this one for the team. SALUD

I want to listen to it but it's not on Fountain, yet. Is this an issue or does it just take a while to be released on Fountain?

Zapped ⚡️

Really interesting. I didn’t understand the friction to do these inscriptions. I also understood Casey’s point … while higher fees for $$transactions … ultimately way lower than an inscription data trx.

Game theory thought experiment:

1. NFT holders know ETH could be regulated away … move your stuff and fast. This could take everything but BTC to zero faster and then regulations are the final blow.

2. Lightning activity/build increased

3. For years the meme was “I Transacted w/ BTC on the main chain” could come faster … but for these “meaningful” big financial trxs, we’ll still use, and fees will be still be extremely low compared to any legacy system.

4. Gets interesting when UI for composing/ buy/sell/seeing what sats you have becomes seamless

Thanks for the episode 🤙
