We at nostr:npub1s3ht77dq4zqnya8vjun5jp3p44pr794ru36d0ltxu65chljw8xjqd975wz are proud to announce the start of an "other stuff" relay at https://thecitadel.nostr1.com/ focused on documents and application data, not social media content.

It is free-to-use for the general public and would be a great addition to any "other stuff" client default list. The only events we are currently blocking are Kind 01 notes and anything that breaks our terms of service.

We are using the following relay icon:

Please refer to our associated wiki page for details on which events we are currently focused on.

The articles are slowly trickling in. ☺️

So do regular nostr clients allow viewing of this "other stuff" if this relay is added?

How does one "write" and read from?

Never quite understood how a client recognizes or defines different "kinds"

Depends upon the client and the kinds.

Each note/event you send is actually a little json file and the part you can see in your client is the part written under the "content" header. Another part is the "kind" section.

Thanks!

If you want to write and read from this relay, you need to go to a client that uses these kinds of events and add it to the relay list in the settings.

Some clients that read and/or write such documents (like long-form articles) are Coracle, Amethyst, Habla, Highlighter, Nostrudel, Freerse, GitWorshop, Wikinostr.
