Marketing/PR tactic - artificial scarcity can lead people to FOMO in to things they’d otherwise delay.

Just a fiat-brained way of doing things, attract people in with made up exclusivity.

Absolute scarcity > artificial scarcity

I understand the invite hype marketing.

But you can't have an open decentralized protocol if it's invite only. Those two things are incompatible.
