Isn't it enough if the client loads the mentioned note as a quote? Sounds less data overhead because client can decide to download or not.
With quote reposts they wouldn't need to pull the repost at all if they didn't want to, which is important when pulling threads. Right now the note ref hack shows up when querying threads because you can't filter them out by kind
Swipe back is still very janky on iOS.
