Have you ever thought about how smartphones & the internet have essentially become an extension of ourselves and our brain so in a way we are all at least partially “computer”

Of course I have & computers are meant to be used as a tool to enhance our lives, not become codependent on.

I’m not sure of you, or others, but smartphones & the internet are not an extension of MY brain lol

I think the majority of people (in the US at least) wouldn’t be able to live the same life they do now without the internet and a smartphone. They’ve upgraded, or unlocked more human capabilities and have become an essential part of our life.

Right, that’s an entirely different thing from evolving to smartphones & mimicking/relying upon Artificial Intelligence or the internet.

Yeah i guess my point was that i think becoming reliant on the internet makes it a part of us *in a way* and affects our behavior. Obviously mimicking AI is weird and would be an extreme example but I think as computers become more human like we may also become more computer like. Hence, people talking about brainchips which would literally make us part cyborg.

Unfortunately, that moment is not extreme. It has arrived.

Nice thoughts 💭

Lol maybe taboo is a better word than extreme. Thanks🤙

💯I think it goes both ways

the computers are all using ai, that you refer to, which is demonic animus in the machine, but anyhow.. most people couldn't hang without the internet..

I'd be perfectly happy without it, but only if I was allowed to live how I want to, little house on the prarie style, but alas I do not own land, so here I am in a city connected to the internet..
