Dish soap was just grocery store dish soap, like ajax.

The three active ingredients are two mild alkaline surfactants and ethanol.

That will successfully eat through aluminum given enough time.

Just got home and checked: Palmolive original.

Softer but still has a ph of about 8 or 9.

Means it's still basic and will eat through aluminum given enough time.

Sorry for that mess though. That's no fun.
