I was thinking about beautiful childhood moments, and one that stands out is trying pizza for the first time on my birthday in 2004 when I was 4 or 5 years old. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world, and I was so happy. It was October 15, and it was still warm in Eretia, my hometown. I’ve never tasted pizza that good again, perhaps because my family was poor and couldn’t afford such luxuries in Greece at that time. The taste of that moment was unforgettable, perhaps due to the great desire for something so delicious. However, my mother cooked very well. Still, I believe Italian cuisine is superior. I’m 25% Italian and 25% from Epirus! All three regions have great food, although the economic conditions in Italy have been better than in Greece.
