Not having used any other social media than discussion forums and Reddit in the past, Nostr (through iris.to) feels very much like shouting into the void, nobody hearing it unless I tag someone, which feels quite rude to do just to get attention. Is this an indication that I don't have anything interesting to say, or is it another "bootstrapping" problem, with the number of followers?

Do you #[0] , who has been active here for a while and have plenty of followers, know, or have any tips regarding this? Is it necessary to have an "onboarding ramp" such as a podcast, to get any traction here?

I'm listening even though I haven't commented on any of your posts yet.

Nostr and the clients are quite new. The network is still small and being defined. I continue to bounce between clients and haven't found that perfect one yet either. All of them are better in some ways.

I believe the experience will improve over time as we customize it to the experience we prefer and more users are onboarded. Having the ability to seek our own preferred experience of a system is also a newer concept.
