Sports bros in shock when they ask me what I think about the game on the TV and I tell them I dont give a wet slap about sports ball.
Discussion
Just trying to drink a beer in peace leave me alone.
I grew up with a lot of friends who enjoyed sports so I tried to play along but at the end of the day I really don't give a shit. Problem is I'm starting to see video games in the same way.
Maybe it's because I'm a father now but I see little point in dumping a ton of hours into something that really gives you no obvious return. I would rather work on my business, start a podcast, create content, improve my woodworking or some other skill.
I still play video games occasionally but it comes in waves. But in general I 100% agree. Time is scarce and it's better spent doing productive shit.
I still play video games as well but I also want to spend as much time with my daughter as possible and watch her grow and explore the world but I can't do that if I don't get the stuff done that I need to do to support her and my wife because I spent all my time playing video games. It's a fine balance for sure.
