Religion and science are not at odds.

One way of understanding this is that science focuses on 3rd person perceptions, whereas religion focuses on 1st person perceptions.

A great book that bridges the gap between these is “The Science of the 1st Person” by Douglas Harding

That’s because it’s so foreign to westerners, the notion of looking inward.

Highly suggest reading the book and seeing how your viewpoint on this changes. Certainly changed mine
